Chris is a producer director with over 20 years of experience. He combines film making and executive skills which are central to Gritty ltd.
Chris has played a key role as a freelance producer director and series producer working for independent companies such as Mentorn, TwoFour, IWC, Films of Record and Indus. He’s produced over 100 hours of programming for nearly all of the main broadcasters. For Channel 4 he’s produced episodes of Time Team and Chaos at the Zoo, following Changing Rooms’ Anna Ryder-Richardson who bought a run-down wildlife park. For BBC network Chris produced and directed The Museum, where for the first time cameras were allowed behind the scenes of the British Museum and has worked with top presenters on Coast.
He also has as a unique track record of Wales based factual programmes, such as Senghenydd: Britain’s Worst Mining Disaster, shedding new light on the deaths of 439 men and boys who were killed underground 100 years ago. He has filmed with a diverse range of communities in Wales and together with Tracy Harris, produced Swansea: Living on the Streets. A BAFTA Cymru nominated observational series of 9 films following the plight of the homeless over 3 years.
